Whole Rhynchonellas in good condition.
Rhynchonellas had a bivalve shell with a triangular outline. They are characterized by having very marked ribs and by having the commissure of the valves retracted, with a fold in the dorsal valve and a groove in the ventral valve that fit together.
They lived fixed to the bottom of the sea by means of a peduncle called "foramen".
