Massive Sun Stone of dim orange color. Sun Stone is a variety of oligoclase that has an orange glow due to inclusions of hematite or goethite .
It usually forms in granitic pegmatites, in granite and in felsic igneous rocks. Also in metamorphic rocks, forming in schists and gneiss. Normally found in massive habit.
