Massive Pink Calcite or Manganocalcite, with color stripes that alternate different faint pinkish tones.
Manganocalcite is the intermediate mineral of the Calcite-Manganocalcite-Rhodochrosite series by progressive substitution of calcium for manganese.
It is a very peculiar mineral that has a very high fluorescence when exposed to short-wavelength ultraviolet light. The magnifying glasses in our accessories section have UV light that turns the mineral into a fiery red color.
