Massive Goethite, some of them with iridescent tones typical of the mineral.

It is a fairly widespread mineral that, among other things, is a fundamental part of limonite, a very abundant rock with an earthy or compact appearance.

Goethite usually occurs in compact, reniform or stactitic masses, with a radiated or earthy structure. Its color is normally blackish brown in the crystals, reddish or brownish yellow in the compact masses and yellowish brown to ocher yellow in the earthy variety.

The main use of goethite is as iron ore. On the other hand, this mineral also has some application as a clay pigment.

Fine specimens of goethite are rare and are therefore valued as collectors' items. Iridescent or banded varieties are cut and polished for jewelry making.

The piece you receive may differ slightly from the photo shown, since the minerals are natural and no pieces are identical. The size is approximate.
