Natural fossilized coral in 4x4 cm box format.

Corals are invertebrate animals of marine life, which appeared before the Primary Era (about 700 million years ago), developing extensively until suffering total extinction at the end of that Era.

The beginning of the Secondary Era coincides with the appearance of other new coral species (about 250 million years ago), which continue today. Preferring warm, shallow, well-lit seas.

They feed by sticking their tentacles out of the "hole" or polypere in which they live, catching their prey with the help of a poisonous secretion that these tentacles have.

Some of the corals have a branchy or shrubby shape, which is why in the past they were confused with marine plants.

The fossil includes a label with the name and origin and is attached to a 4 cm square cardboard box.

*The price is per unit (a single cardboard box of the four shown in the photo)

Since the samples are natural, you will receive a piece similar to the one in the photograph. The fossils come in cardboard boxes and are glued to a porex base with hot silicone; these can be removed using ethyl alcohol without damaging the fossil. The size is approximate.
