Our didactic proposal includes 30 specimens that can serve as a “Rock Guide”, based on the study of these and their origin.

This collection can be used by students and teachers of Biology and Geology in Secondary or Universities since it includes the main most studied rocks.

Rocks are the association of one or more minerals. They are solid materials produced by geological processes.

Depending on their training process, they can be:

1. Igneous : they are a product of the cooling and solidification of magma.

2. Sedimentary : they are formed as a result of the action of atmospheric agents on pre-existing rocks.

3. Metamorphic : they are formed when igneous or sedimentary rocks are subjected to heat, humidity and/or pressure for and after long periods of time.

With this collection you will discover the most representative rocks of each type. Presented in a robust natural wood box.

The Collection Includes 30 Representative Samples of the following Rocks:

  1. Peat - Organogenic Sedimentary R.
  2. Lignite - Organogenic Sedimentary R.
  3. Coal - Organogenic Sedimentary R.
  4. Anthracite - Metamorphic Carbonaceous R.
  5. Gneiss - Metamorphic R.

The pieces you receive may differ slightly from the photo shown, as the rocks are natural and no pieces are identical. The size is approximate.
