Amber is the fossilized resin of prehistoric trees. Its name comes from Arabic, meaning "what floats in the sea", since it floats on sea water.
It is usually light brown in color although there are varieties of yellow and greenish tones.
It is considered the oldest gemstone known to man but it is actually of organic origin.
The piece you receive may differ slightly from the photo shown, as the fossils are natural and no piece is identical. The size is approximate.
